Colorado Chairman Talks Careers and Commissions
Sean Beirne, regional sales representative for Roberts Communications Network and chairman of the Colorado Racing Commission, spoke Wednesday in the Race Track Organization, Structure & Financial Management and the Advanced Racing Laws and Enforcement classes.
In the Race Track Organization, Structure & Financial Management class, Sean spoke about his work with Roberts Communications and their push to switch race track signals to HD. He also gave advice to the students based on his many experiences in the racing industry; embrace challenges, foster good relationships, and maintain flexibility throughout their careers.
In the Advanced Racing Laws and Enforcement class, Sean discussed his appointment to the Colorado Racing Commission, the commission members and their duties including rulemaking, licensing and hearings. He also discussed the importance of using a high quality lab for drug testing and touched on Colorado’s medication policies.
