The Jockey Club Jack Goodman Scholarship Awarded to Scott Little for 2017-2018

RTIP student Scott Little is the winner of The Jockey Club Jack Goodman Scholarship. The scholarship cover the 2017 – 2018 academic year.

The Jockey Club Jack Goodman Scholarship awards $6,000 ($3,000 per semester) annually to a student at the University of Arizona’s RTIP and is based on academic achievement, a proposed career path in the Thoroughbred racing industry, and previous industry involvement. Goodman, a resident of Tucson, is a longtime member of The Jockey Club and is one of three founders of the RTIP.

Little, a native of Abilene, Texas, is on the dean’s list at the University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program (RTIP) and aspires to work in track management to increase customer service and promote fan development. He has a background in hotel and resort management and has worked in the racing office and as a track ambassador through guest services.

“The Jockey Club is proud to support students who are interested in improving the Thoroughbred racing and breeding industries,” said James L. Gagliano, president and chief operating officer of The Jockey Club.
