With Justify’s win in the Preakness Stakes, the second leg of the Triple Crown, trainer Bob Baffert has positioned himself to become just the second trainer in history to condition two Triple Crown winners.
The only other trainer to do so was “Sunny Jim” Fitzsimmons with Gallant Fox in 1930 and Omaha in 1935.
